Default your 3 favorite games

What are you favorite 3 games from the FBSD ports collection.

For me, cannot live without:

1. Bzflag (playing everyday)
2. Wesnoth
3. Oolite (opensource Elite clone).

2. ScummVM (Monkey Island, Broken Sword, etc.)
3. Tales of Middle Eart (TOME)

All the GTA's. Currently playing GTA4 (mostly online ) but I liked San Andreas the most.
Others games I have played in the past that I loved: UT, UT2k4, Quake3, Doom3, NFS Porsche, AOE, Warcraft, Age of Mythology, Alice, Counter Strike...

games/wesnoth
games/prboom + freedoom/doom wads + hell revealed (awesome megawad)
games/xgalaga

I've also come to like kdiamond from kdegames, and have a strong desire to write my own modern galaga-like game (and make it addicting).

Hehe... great topic.

1. games/linuxenemyterritory
2. games/rtcw
3. games/quake3

My first instinct was to place Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory 3 times in the list but I've managed to control myself

I wrote an HowTo: Enemy Territory on FreeBSD in my blog.

The heresy! Running Openarena, Quake3 and Enemy Territory under Linux when you can do it under FreeBSD! (j/k ).

Excellent choice; I'll second that one! Don't forget the Chocolate-Doom engine for truly classic gameplay.

My other picks are:

games/linux-doom3
games/openarena
emulators/gens - for playing Sonic 1 Megamix (one of the most impressive rom hacks I've ever played; both challenging and creative)

If we limit to Ports, then these:

games/HeroesOfMightAndMagic
games/quake3
games/netris

... but if not, then I prefer Heroes of Might and Magic III Complete using WINE and games from Balck Isle studios, like Fallouts and Baldur's Gate.

Do Fallout and Infinity engine games now run properly on Wine? It always had problems some time ago ... I tried IWD pretty recently and it didn't work at all...

There's also FIFE and gemrb, do you have any (recent) experience with those? I made a FreeBSD port for both some time ago and it worked very so-so (Never sent PR )...

Fallouts are running great, but I havent tried Infinity engine games under WINE (It was long ago when I played them).

I havent tried them, but my mate tried Baldur's Gate using GemRB ... and stock Baldur;s Gate with WINE worked a lot better, GemRB is just incomplete/still bugged to just play these games, but its improoving for sure.
