Reinstall while preserving /home
I accidentally deleted /etc (don't ask) and need to reinstall. FAQ14 says that I can do this without overwriting /home, whjch is in partition k. It says "just don't format it". How do I do that (not give it a mount point perhaps)?

Thanks for the prompt reply. I do have backup with tarsnap but I'd rather revive my /home if possible.
By "edit the disklabel" I assume you mean choosing what the install script calls Custom Layout? That seems to be the only way to get "none" as the default mount point. But how do I restore /home after completing the reinstall? Edit /etc/fstab? |
