Default audio and ethernet problem on on acer aspire 4740G

well finally i have the courage to buy new notebook just for the sake of loving the bsd ,i planned to have freebsd 8(stable) as my notebook desktop, configuring my openbsd console as gateway was quite hard but this getting freebsd to detect my hardware even harder lol, getting the xorg up and running was quite easy but i really have no idea how to trace my unrecognizable devices(audio & ethernet) from dmesg?do i need to turn off my acpi first?
my notebook spec :

In general, it is rather hard to run FreeBSD on a *very* new notebook such as this. This is because many drivers need to be reverse-engineered which takes time ...

Here is a script which will try to detect the sound driver:

Are you talking about wireless or wired network?

Post the output of pciconf -lv, this will show a list of *all* your hardware.

Turning acpi off will not help.

i just knew about this ,i though that from what i heard on openbsd subforum for more mature hardware support freebsd will atleast support the ethernet, forgot to update this thread, the audio seem used alc888 and been solved, thanks, the wifi straight detected from the box,the wired(Netlink BCM57780) just got commited last dec,i need to turn arround to using latest snapshot or using linux :/,does the current state of 9.0 snapshot is usable or atleast stable enough for general laptop desktop use(programming, kde, movies, ripping, streaming, brows ing, flash)?,i have checked the 9.0 snapshot seem to be only for ia64?where i can get amd64 or x86?
