Throwing shit on other systems is not the best way to praise NetBSD
There are no *other_systems* .. the versus is clear : Micro$oft/Apple business-driven VS OpenSource community-driven.
(This versus manifested itself when Jobs and Ritchie died the same week.)

Feel good with NetBSD. ;^)
Sure I am .. but never would be so with pro-PRISM tech-trash.

Because It is always easier to criticise, then do something complicated.

Fore Instance, read a good book, and understand the context.

NetBSD like OpenBSD is very technical OS; that require knowledge to simply run. My friend who studied in Warsaw Polytechnic statistics, for five years use on his laptop only NetBSD. He has no problem with it.

Why?

He read and learn.

So free and open as the scandal of the vaunted security of OpenBSD?

Exactly.

This is not a standard OS for home. Neither better nor worse.

The best tool is just right for the job.

Divel , you are parroting what trollaxor claimed as true without *PROOF* .. so find the backdoor and win the prize :-)
This again proves how biased you & trollaxor are .. mulling over a lie , while avoiding thousands of windoze/apple scandals ..

I have not read much about the case of OpenBSD, I admit. I'm not repeating anything, just do not idealize the free, open-source and NetBSD, as if everything else is shit, without falling into his mistake. Anyway everything else is feeding the troll and this conversation is off topic. They are the same stupid conversations in which falls in the Linux community and I was wrong to promote it.

I simply refer to information provided by Julio Merino, a member of NetBSD, and discussions on the mailing list, draw your own conclusions...

...& for this reason, I'm closing this thread before it erupts into utter noise. We encourage civil discussion here. Chest thumping of "My OS can beat up your OS..." bravado is not; it's counter-productive.

You can see by the amount of posts in each *BSD section on this forum how fewer people use NetBSD...
I invite you to look at the official NetBSD mailing lists. There are several (each supported architecture has its own...), & developers frequently interact with the community. Yes, the number of NetBSD-specific threads here are increasing, but the core NetBSD community still thrives through project sponsored venues.
