Default microchip PIC Programmer?

Hello folks

Anyone is doing mcu programming on freebsd? I`m looking for a programmer for microchip PIC16f84. Because this mcu is quite popular there are some serial port programmers for it for linux and and freebsd.
http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/url.cgi?p...prog/pkg-descr
But I dont have no serial port anymore and would like to use UBS.

Any suggestions? thank you

You can use a USB<->serial converter. See ucom(4)
