Default Compiling e17 from source

Hey Guys,

I am trying to install the latest beta of e17 from source but keep running into this error when installing eet-1.4.0.beta3

. "Cannot find jpeglib.h. Make sure your CFLAGS environment variable contains include lines for the location of this file"

I have install jpeg-8b butit did not help. I think this is a header file but not sure where it is located or how to include it. I have searched the forums and Google but have turned up very little.

If this is a simple answer please point me to some documentation so I can get a better understanding of what it is I'm missing.

Thanks and Happy New Year

It is unlikely that this will compile as-is, the OpenBSD ports tree has a x11/enlightenment and x11/e17 which seem to be different versions of the same window manager.

If you want to use this window manager, use the ports/packages.. if it's not recent enough, contact the maintainer and see if there is any hope for an update.

It's not just that you don't have -I/usr/local/include in your CFLAGS is it? See gcc.local(1): "gcc does not search under /usr/local for include files nor for
libraries: as a system compiler, it only searches the system paths by
default."
