May I point out that you quoted Rick from Casablanca to Captain Louis Renault, the Captain of police whom he had known for some time. So your quote was appropriate in all respects, wasn't it?

What is this gibberish you speak of? I've never seen Casablanca.. phrases are destined to be reinvented.

In terms of famous movie quotes, along with Gone with the Wind; Casablanca is probably one of the most famous classics ever BSDfan666!

But.. but.. it's a black and white movie, those are so horribly excruciating..

Never I say, never!

Not watching a movie because it was filmed in black & white, is like not using vi because it lacks a gui.

I don't agree with that analogy, I happen to love vi... I just, don't like black and white movies.

Topic?! there was a topic??

This overly predictable response was brought to you by an unfortunate level of banality (and the number 6).

I used to work in the film business and my son's a professional actor. I could go on and on about the virtues of b/w movies but I tend..to...uh....what was I talking about?

Black & White or color ... Who cares?

Some black and white stuff like The Night of the Living Dead, Day the earth stood still, twilight zone etc. Are just good movies, they just happen to be in black and white because that was the technical limitation at the time, but the story, acting, etc. is just as good as more recent (color) movies.

Sure, color is better, but that's just one (small) aspect of the movie, there are many others which are far more important.

Oh, and the topic:
What do you guys think of black & white flash animations?

(Had to think of something).

hahahahahahahahaha !!!

I actually haven't seen any; I've seen a few flash-only websites, that are fairly monochromatic in their colo pallet, but noting pure B&W. Well, maybe just this music video, now that I think of it.

Whatever the colors used with flash, it still sucks, unless there is a good level of content worth navigating the site for: most of the time it's just fluff or reiteration of printed materials in my experience. When it comes to video content, I feel any format that does not allow the user to use their own choice of plugin, is just plain wrong and insulting. I know OGV is not very common in a lot of circles, but I would take AVI, WMV, and MOV over Flashcrap any day! Even when I can play a number of videos through mplayer, either by checking the pages source, or just feeding it the tmp files from flash7 lol.
