Default Looking for Thinkpad Recommendations

I am thinking about upgrading to a Thinkpad X230 for use with NetBSD. It looks like it should be fairly well supported but was hoping someone could confirm or deny if suspend and hibernate work? Im currently on a X201 that is getting long in the tooth and it won't wake from suspend well on NetBSD. (As documented by others here https://wiki.netbsd.org/laptops/ ) I'd like to stay with the X series but if anyone could recommend a Thinkpad newer than the X201 that wasn't too chunky id love the recommendation.

I had a X240 and mostly it just works. Ok, the card reader make sometimes problems but all other works. DRM, SuspendtoRAM, wifi and ethernet and also the hdmi port.
Now I switched to the Xiaomi Air which require a better driver support.
