Hi Daemons,
Has anyone been able to use Trendnet TEW-649UB USB Wifi adapter with OpenBSD 5.9 or 6.0? I know that rsu firmware does not support 802.11n but it doesn't work in 802.11g/b/auto mode either. Would you be able to provide any hint about why this adapter does not work with the rsu(4) firmware?
I have the latest snapshot OpenBSD v6.0 and rsu-rtl8712fw v1.2 firmware installed. On bootup I think the firmware loads but the following error messages are displayed and I am not able to get an IP address:
Partial dmesg output:
Code:
rsu0: could not send join command
rsu0: could not send site survey command
After login to Gnome:

No working leases in persistent database - sleeping.
This SSID does not require a WEP/WPA key so my /etc/hostname.rsu0 file is simple:
Code:
nwid mywifi-ssid
dhcp
My friend's RTL8187L (with urtw firmware) on the same laptop connects just fine to the same SSID.
Thanks
