Default Openbsd 4.5 network connection timeout

Hello,
I'm having troubles with a fresh install of 4.5. When connecting using SSH the Openbsd server takes forever to respond with a password challenge. I can authenticate and everything is normal from there. I'm experiencing the same thing with other network services. Any ideas about what might be going on here?

regards,
Andrew.

Have you tried setting the UseDNS NO in the sshd_config file? give it a shot it you have not. If your are in fact experiencing "other" network issues, I would give a check to tcpdump or any other sniffer and see just what traffic is flowing around your network, and if there is so much of it that it is affecting your connection rates/quality.

All of us started out as clueless n00bs. So, having been there, ourselves, we try to only bash people after evidence which is both ample, and long term enough to show a complete inability to obtain a clue.

Even then, we try not to be rude, and politely bash, as best we can. From the (politely, or nearly politely) written words no one can hear the moaning, groaning, whining, and complaining. They must use their imaginations.
