Default Is there a place to advertise on daemonforums?

Hi guys,

I was wondering if there's any place on daemonforums.org that I could advertise stuff such as: looking for BSD administrators, offering jobs, information about web hosting services, etc?

In no way I would want daemonforums to become infested with spam advertises like the bsdforums, but I was wondering if it would be appropriate to just have a place where people could offer computer related jobs or services.

Please let me know about this.

Cheers!

http://www.bsdjobs.net/ was advertised on bsdtalk once upon a time, not sure how utilized it is.

These forums don't have a section, but, perhaps it could be considered...

There's a freebsd-jobs mailing list where you can post these kinds of things, if they are freebsd-specific. And I believe there's a jobs section to the website, as well.

Not sure about a general BSD jobs/adverts area, though. You'd probably have to send *BSD-specific ones to each BSD group.

What exactly do you want to post? Commercial advertisments? 100 Job offers? A job offer for a small company?

I would like to post commercial advertisements such as freeBSD dedicated servers, web hosting services, etc.

I can't say I'm for that... a jobs forum would be alright, but advertisements like "100% dedicated FreeBSD servers for 99.95, not 99.99.. 99.95!!!".

Count me out...

How about a modest banner advertisement to help cover costs? If it is not too overwhelming, I'd favor something that can ensure the forum's longevity.

I do not have anything against a banner on the right side of daemonforums logo at the top of the page, also total bottom of the page can be used.

Linux is not UNIX! Face it! It is not an insult. It is fact: GNU is a recursive acronym for “GNU's Not UNIX”.
