I've got a special behaviour on my ThinkPad.
I installed OpenBSD 5.7, and after a few fights, it works fine now.
The Radeon works fine, with 1920x1200 resolution.
I installed a dual-screen, with the VGA link and my HDTV
(1920x1080).
Dual-screen works, the TV copies the laptop screen.
I just have to adjust the definition, downgrading to 1920x1080 to have the same pictures.
But the problem is before X is launched, with the console.
When I use the laptop alone, dmesg indicates :
Code:
# dmesg
(...)
radeondrm0: 1920x1200
(...)
When plugging the TV and using dual-screen :
Code:
# dmesg
(...)
radeondrm0: 1024x768
(...)
The problem is that the console output fits 1024x768 on a 1920x1200 screen...
So I've a small console on a wide screen.
The console is something like a quarter or a third of the screen...
X still works fine, with a normal 1920x1200
(or anything else).
So, does anybody ever heard about that, and if so, is it possible to fix ?
Or is it a normal behaviour ?
And is it possible to have two different display on the dual-screen ?
I currently use XFCE
(but I don't really care about the DE. One or another...).
Edit : It only occurs when the TV is OFF, still plugged.
