Default Using UEFI Laptops with Windows 8 Pre-installed

Greetings, Gentlemen:

I've a relatively new Toshiba Win8 (Pre-installed from OEM) Laptop for work issued to me; and was trying to install OpenBSD on an USB Stick to try it out.

Turns out that there's that "UEFI" issue to deal with...

From what I've read, disabling the "Secure Boot" mode should have allowed the Laptop to boot from the ordered drives (I've set the CD/DVD Drive).

It's not working - so I'm obviously missing something.

Can the lucky hacks who tried this over the Holidays give me some pointers, please?

Thank you,
