Default Inkscape not in snapshots/packages/amd64

Hello everyone,

I'm trying to install pub/OpenBSD/snapshots/packages/amd64/inkscape-0.92.2.tgz.

It seems to have disappeared from snapshots/packages/amd64/.

This package is still in:
* snapshots/packages/mips64el (inkscape-0.92.1p0.tgz, 15-Sep-2017)
* snapshots/packages/i386 (inkscape-0.92.2p0.tgz, 02-Nov-2017)
* 6.2/packages/amd64/ (inkscape-0.92.2.tgz, 03-Oct-2017)

A Google search for openbsd snapshots inkscape returns the following result:
Quote:
Index of /pub/OpenBSD/snapshots/packages/amd64/

https://ftp.openbsd.org/pub/OpenBSD/...ackages/amd64/
Index of /pub/OpenBSD/snapshots/packages/amd64/ ...... 07:51 4327
iniparser-3.1p1.tgz 28-Oct-2017 07:51 17153 inkscape-0.92.2p0.tgz 28-Oct-2017 07:51 ...
So this package was still in the mirror last week.

I also checked:
* the ports browser
* the cvsweb
* the ports mailing list

It looks like inkscape is still being actively maintained.

Does anybody here know what happened with this package?

A related thread (Current Missing some amd64 Packages) just showed up at the bottom of this page, under 'Similar Threads'.

I'll try waiting for a few days to see if the package re-appears.

Thanks shep.

I've been running -current for a few years now and updating from snapshots almost every day and this does happen from time to time with the occasional package, just waiting a bit always solves things.

If you're in a hurry you could build it from the ports tree instead.

It usually means that there was a failure to build one of the ports in the web of build dependencies. -current is constantly changing, and sometimes there are downstream effects.

To underline what jggimi says, there is a thread on FreeBSD's forum about this port not compiling: https://forums.freebsd.org/threads/63095/

I'm not sure the FreeBSD issue is relevant.
There was just a ports hackathon and there were some major library bumps. Things will settle in the next few days, if they haven't already.

Inkscape is back in the mirror, installed, and working.

As usual with -current, waiting for some number of days did indeed solve the problem.

Cheers and thanks for the additional info.
