  1. Please post your xorg.conf file
  2. Please describe how you created it.
  3. Please describe your problem's symptoms, as clearly as you can. "Something is going wrong" is insufficient information.
  4. Please describe what happens when you have no xorg.conf file at all. This is the default configuration. Are you able to get X working with the default configuration?
You may find OpenBSD FAQ 11.3 has helpful guidance.

Did you add a second graphic card ?
It seems that your nVidia card is not recognized.

Did you try to launch X with the nv or the intel driver ?

To add to LeFrettchen's post:

A simple intervention to try would be to disable the onboard video (Intel HD Graphics 4000) in the bios.

Another alternative is that current just had intel video updates
Quote:
Changes made between OpenBSD 5.3 and -current

-----snip-----
Added proper mmap(2) support for drm(4)/inteldrm(4). Eventual speedups (through not accessing all graphics memory via the GTT).
Added the remaining support code for 4th gen intel(4) Core/Haswell graphics.

Hi all you guys, i will expklain what i did..

I install the openbsd 5.3 release version (i didn't no have a current one.. where i can get it?)

Than i install the new ffirmware for the wificard (as it says on the manual of iwn)

So now i was going to install the X server, so i was doing what it says on the manual of openbsd..

I run the: X -configure command to generate the xorg.conf.new file, but the command returns the error that i already discribe in the other post..

the xorg.conf.new generated is: sprunge.us/GGDb <- its saved there

I try to disable in the BIOS the card but nothing there to disable, i didn t find nothing. no option for disable it..

As jggimi asked, did you try to launch X without an xorg.conf file ?

Well, you should copy your entire xorg.conf.new file here, instead of just giving an internet address.

Daniel's xorg.conf.new file :

As you can see, you've got 4 "Monitor" sections, 4 "Device" sections and 4 "Screen" sections.

One "Monitor" section, one "Device" section and one "Screen" section should be enough, so maybe you could try to keep only the first "Monitor", "Device" and "Screen" sections, and remove the others, and see...
And also remove the Screen 1,2 & 3 in the "ServerLayout" section.

And it doesn't work, replace the "intel" driver with the "vesa" driver in your "Device" section, and see...

Snapshots for -current may be found at your nearby mirror in /pub/OpenBSD/snapshots. Before experimenting with -current, please read OpenBSD FAQ 5.1.

What document were you using?

...I run the: X -configure command to generate the xorg.conf.new file, but the command returns the error that i already discribe in the other post..
You have not yet described the error you received. But there is a known problem that # X -configure produces segmentation exceptions and the resulting xorg.conf.new file it creates may be incomplete.

Please answer my remaining questions, and now, my new question regarding the documentation you are trying to use.

No screens usually can be rectified with an xorg.conf or xorg.conf.d entry.

Were you trying for a dual monitor setup? It looks like the 2nd dmesg on current does not detect the NVidia card - was it removed?

NVidia is only supported by xf86-video-nv in OpenBSD and that driver does not support 3D. NVidia gets along better with FreeBSD. In OpenBSD you will actually get 3D from an on-board intel card. If you have not already done it, I would remove the nvidia card and go with the onboard intel card.

As mentioned X -configure is broken so you will either have to pull an an OpenBSD xorg.conf off the internet or cobble one together. There is an example screen entry in the OpenBSD FAQ. The FAQ entry is for standard monitors - not wide screen.

I did some quick searching and your notebook has hybrid graphics technology.

You may be the first person in the world to try to get this running in OpenBSD!

It looks to be a challenge. I Google'd FreeBSD + Bumblebee and found a 7 page discussion in the PC-BSD forums.

The good news is that there are reports of success

From an OpenBSD standpoint it looks to be another unfriendly hardware development.

So, did you try to edit your own xorg.conf file ?
Could work...
