The OpenBSD project itself hasn't joined GSoC, but OpenSSH has in the past.. and it lead to improvements in sftp(1) for example.
I'm going to guess the main reason for no interest is the mentoring, people involved with developing OpenBSD do so for their own reasons.. personal or professional, they may not want to handhold some student learning the ropes. |
