Default STABLE ports tree has returned..

It appears as if William Yodlowsky(william@) has been silently committing updates to OPENBSD_4_5.

Here is a list of ports that have received updates, or so I've found.No binary packages are available yet, but you can most definitely build your own.

Define CVSROOT first, export with bourne shells.. env with csh shells.
$ cd /usr/ports; sudo cvs up -r OPENBSD_4_5 -Pd

I consider this good news.

There is whole underground movement of people who run stable ports. The most successful unofficial attempt to resurrect is probably

http://openbsd.rutgers.edu/

Also if you following ports@openbsd you will see that sometimes people post ports which will compile on
stable but never get committed.

Looks like he's still committing changes, undeadly.org is now summarizing the changes in -STABLE.

I do hope that things start getting back to how they were in the old days, when you could occasionally use pkg_add to fetch critical updates with relative ease.
