Default could ulimit value make them start faster ?

Hi all !!
Whenever I want to save pages in .mht form in Opera the process takes time and even hangs for a while .. this happens under OpenBSD but not in NetBSD (just to compare) .. so I guess there is some setting that I missed which is not implemented by default .. is it ulimit value ? if so what would be a practically suitable value for OpenBSD as a workstation ? (a few GUI (QT & GTK) applications do have a comparatively slower startup and shutdown ..)

Thanks for your help.
