I'll tried.
It's true that files which included "ati" or " radeon" have been patched,
but how I could I know whether the real radeon or ati driver is functionnal ?
Because it does make a whole time since ethernet connection didn't come back.
So I want to wipe out all I could install, that's the way it is.
Would it be ok if i choose in the cd, only to upgrade the system ?

The xf86-video-ati is a "meta" driver - it includes xf86-video-radeon along with drivers that support the older ati "rage" chipsets.

You have many options with NetBSD - Versions 5.2, 6.0.1 and 6.1 are all currently supported. Additionally the installations come with a monolithic X and with each version you can choose not to install the monolithic X and instead install a modular xorg.

All this can be confusing and when the vagaries or hardware support are mixed in - daunting. It also means the the NetBSD community has its efforts widely spread on many fronts.

I would actually recommend that you try OpenBSD. There is just one X-window install option and the community has focused on making that work. Additionally, the trackpad will be easier to implement. To fully support trackpads in NetBSD you have to compile a custom kernel. Trackpads are more fully supported out of the box in OpenBSD.

But .. But ?! Why the hell do you advise me to change for another OS for paranoiacs ?
You seem to be having trouble with NetBSD. The actual rationale for suggesting OpenBSD is that the version of Xorg is newer along with the radeon driver. NetBSD 6.0 amd64 has xf86-video-ati-6.12.4 while OpenBSD 5.3 has xf86-video-ati 6.14.6.

The "paranoia" that goes into auditing OpenBSD code also results in an Operating System that is very stable and reliable.

Furthermore, it also is an extremely easy BSD to install with succint, up to date documentation. From a CD I can install the base system in less than 20 minutes, including one network connection, wifi with WPA2, root password along with user. NTP, the sound driver and xorg usually work without configuration.

Lastly, the quality of the binary packages is, In My Humble Opinion, much better. I tried a recent install of NetBSD 6.0 for an i386 system and although openoffice is available (it compiled), it crashed immediately without even a core dump. In contrast, I have been running a newer version of LibreOffice in OpenBSD for months.
But it is your system and you can do what you wish with it.

No offence was noted on my part. Getting back to the topic at hand: spermwhale_warrior: What X did you install? Was it the "monolithic" X at the time of system installation, that is, installing xbase.tgz, xserver.tgz, xfont.tgz, xetc.tgz? And, did you try the radeonhd driver?

I was approaching this with the assumption that you were new to BSD unix and wanted to try it out.

It may be helpful if you described what your goals are.
Examples:
1)Laptop with xfce4, touchpad, wireless, office suite etc.
2)Laptop as a lowpower server with graphical admin tools
3)NetBSD with Xen virtual machine

The other thing you may want to do is review the "dmesg". It lists the hardware on the laptop and whether a driver is attached to that hardware.
You can generate a text file by redirecting the commands output to a text file:
dmesg > dmesg.txt.

I would look to see if acpi, a broadcom wireless card and the touchpad are recognized. Even if you can get the video working you can have additional frustrations
