Default Wake from suspension

Is there anything I can do to enable wake from suspension? It suspends fine but when I try to wake it back up I have no screen. The keyboard works because I can reboot blindly (type reboot in termial without seeing).

Is there anything I can do?

There could be many reasons. A dmesg may help narrow the number of possibilities.

One possible circumvention would be to not display X at the time you suspend your system.

It still happens without X running. But I can still reboot the system and I guess run other commands.

What would I be looking for with dmesg?

Just post your dmesg in full inside code tags.

Hardware components, hardware architecture, OS flavor and date of kernel build if -current. Using this, one then searches for bug reports and resolutions in bugs@, informal bug reports or discussions in misc@, and any applicable patch histories in CVS commit logs.
