Default pftop command not found

i installed pftop 0.7 and run in su but it prompt
Code:
ksh: pftop: not found
so i also tried this in normal user
Code:
$ pftop
pftop: open("/dev/pf"): Permission denied
So i search for /dev/pf file, but is not there. Do i need to create one?
how do i run pftop? I studied the man page but it doesn't work..
