[FAQ] is this a typo ?

Hello,
I am not a native english speaker. While reading the porter's guide, I found something that looks like a typo. Before bothering the FAQ maintainer, I would like to have yours opinions on this.

Here, look at step 31.
"mailinglist archives just contain the mails itself". Shouldn't it be "the mails themselves" or "the mail itself"?
If not, what am I missing?
