Hi everybody!
I upgraded OpenBSD-5.1 from stable to current .. after sysmerging I was asked what to do .. I chose m (merge) and i (install) instead of default option (leaving files until later for manual editing) After reboot I couldn't start X : Xorg.0.log Code:

Unfortunately I forgot to backup /etc on this disk.The /etc backup located in /var/tmp/sysmere*****/ didn't help and it is far smaller in size than the original /etc. Can you think of a way out ? (I have a similar disk for the same machine) Sorry for being such a nuisance again. |

And this is a good example of why we keep recommending backups to you. The most you have ever stated in response is that you might consider it one day in the future.

To be clear, @daemonfowl, if you edited the file and set the sysctl from 1 to 2, then started X without rebooting, X would not function.
