Question Question to modern ThinkPad owners

Today I was browsing notebooks at an electronics store chain and came across some Lenovo Ideapads, there were no ThinkPads. When I tried out the keyboards on those machines I was surprised to find out how flimsy they are: a simple keypress would literally indent the entire keyboard including the top shell! Those things could almost be characterised as being flexible even though the outer shell seemed to be made out of some sort of metal.

Are ThinkPads built in a more sturdy fashion?

Ideapads are cheaper "consumer" level. Thinkpads are sturdier and more expensive, business oriented.

I just have a basic E485 but it's very sturdy indeed, much better than the IdeaPads I tried before purchasing.
