Default report me ftp last transfert

Hello,

At Work, we have an OpenBSD 4.5 (pf use) and a ftp server (Synology).
All nights, a backup is done on the ftp (from internet using vpn)
how can i have a report on the last backup ? (email)
I want to automating this :
on the openbsd, i usually use command : ftp nas_syno
dir to see the last lines (if backups is ok...)

Can you help me please ?

If your ftp server is ftpd(8), see the man page and -l, -ll, -S, -U options, and then related man pages: inetd(8), if inetd is used with ftpd, and syslogd(8) and related pages if necessary.

If your ftp server is 3rd party, see its documentation.

Synology NAS machines are just Linux boxes with an ARM, unlike some other NAS vendors Synology doesn't weld their machine shut, you can just login with SSH (IIRC you do have to enable it in the web interface first) and operate the machine like most other Linux machines.

In other words, I don't think you don't need the OpenBSD machine to display the ftp log, you can use the Synology/Linux machine for that. IIRC they use ProFTPD, but don't hold me to that!
