polybar and cwm issue

Greetings!

I'm trying to run polybar with cwm on my openbsd box. The polybar loads, however it keeps failing to load xworkspaces and xwindow modules. It only manages to run properly after i issue a reload command to it from the terminal.

.xsession-errors says:

polybar|error: Disabling module "xworkspaces" (reason: The WM does not support _NET_CURRENT_DESKTOP, aborting...)
polybar|error: Disabling module "xwindow" (reason: The WM does not list _NET_ACTIVE_WINDOW as a supported hint)

Yes, I used the termbar before this. Though, now I'm just interested in reasons why this doesn't work and how to go about it.

I take it that both the:
_NET_CURRENT_DESKTOP, and
_NET_ACTIVE_WINDOW

are not set at the time the bar loads so it cannot access them. And I did call the bar before cwm. So the question would be how to call the bar after the mentioned values are initialized.

Our admin uses lemonbar with cwm. He don't want to put any effort into explaining how it works. I saw it on his monitor, and it looks OK.
