xorg.conf is not necessary ?
$ ls /etc/X11/
app-defaults/ fs/ twm/ xdm/ xinit/ xsm/ $ uname -a OpenBSD myobsd.zsoft.com 5.1 GENERIC#160 i386 There is no xorg.conf, and my OpenBSD desktop still works very well. Then when do we need xorg.conf ? Sincerely! |

For many users of X.Org's servers, an xorg.conf file is not needed, simply start X, and it will automatically detect and use your hardware. If your hardware is not properly autodetected or supported or not supported as you wish, you will have to create a configuration file. |
