OpenBSD -current with x11/dwm, xterm & sysutils/screenfetch:

Prompt:
Code:
PS1='\h: \w \[\033[01;31m\]${?#0}\[\033[00m\]\$ '
${?#0} shows the exit status of the last command (the colour codes make it red) but only if it is non-zero

Thanks!

config.h:

The pmenu.py script can be found here and works in OpenBSD:

https://gitlab.com/o9000/pmenu/tree/master

.Xdefaults:

https://gist.github.com/Head-on-a-St...be5453e6a14222

I use ~/.config/fontconfig/fonts.conf to set the font aliases for Sans and Monospace and use those in config.h so that I can change font without recompiling

This is the recent installation on my Dell, "optiflex 780", it is my main computer,
the "desktop PC",... no more linux (Debian). No dual boot, the other OS's
are on a portable USB drive, and if and when I want or need to I can boot with that.

Mostly I wanted to check and see if it mounts my camera , and I can get the photos,
no problems, works just fine.

This one is my favourite, I am going to keep it like this.

Of course when it is "busy", browser open, or files and editors, etc. the background does no matter much.

Here's my Thinkpad W520 running OpenBSD 6.1 with Fluxbox, Gkrellm2, Eterm, Xfe and Audacious with a wallpaper I created:

Here's my X61 with 4:3 screen ratio running the same thing. I can swap the HDD out in under a minute and be running either OpenBSD or FreeBSD:

Glad to see someone else uses the correct window manager.

Thanks. When I find something that works the way I want it to I tend to stick with it and use nothing but Fluxbox.

I've got an older screenshot in this and the FreeBSD forum thread.

Only changed a little. I have been experimenting with different layouts, but they are all similar. There is only so much one can do, or want to do, with a tiling WM. At the moment I am trying to fit Gkellm into my setup.

Your split projection map is beautiful. I can see the reflected sunlight over Africa and Asia and moonlight over the Americas.

Thanks. I am glad you like it, but I cannot take credit for the lighting. All I did was adjust the brightness and contrast. Most of the work was removing longitude and latitude lines and cleaning up the image (removing blurry blemishes). Although that map is one of the images I use as a backdrop. It looks quite good behind transparent terminals.

Hello everybody, new user here (first post).

This is a fairly new installation of OpenBSD using the i3 window manager, on a Thinkpad T400.

I must say, I'm really liking OpenBSD. I'm seriously considering switching my other machines (which currently run Debian and Arch Linux).
