Difference between 'autoboot' and boot
Hello,
Been looking at all the various boot threads, but nothing seems to quite hit this one. I have FreeBSD installed, but when the boot menu comes up, if I choose 1 (or default) it fails to boot. Can't mount root. If I choose 6 (or exit to boot loader), type 'boot' (no options)... it works perfectly. I tried verifying that the primary partition is set bootable, verifying that the device was specified properly, etc. Where would I check? What's different between the default option and boot? Aren't they the exact same thing? |
