Default dear all

I Installed OpenBSD on 4.8 on my lenavo laptop but im facing some issue :

1- My graphic card is nvidia 512 while I can't run video in full screen mode on openbsd , any solution .

2- some of port won't compile , I did compile because mplayer crash most of time with no reason .

Can any body help me , work around or somthing ? I love OpenBSD but I can't live with laptop without video or graphic support .

  • There is no reason to compile. Please study Section 15 of the FAQ. In particular, Section 15.1 states the following:
    Code:
    ...users rarely need to compile software from source, as packages 
    have already been compiled and are available and ready to be used 
    on an OpenBSD system.
  • The amount of detail supplied is insufficient. Wierd compilation errors may have occurred because the version of the OS didn't match the version of the ports tree installed. As an example, if you installed OpenBSD 4.8-release, installing the ports tree for -current is unsupported, & can possibly lead to strange compilation errors. More information can be found in Section 15.4.1 of the FAQ.
