Default World's first biz computer was British - and sold teacakes

From http://www.theregister.co.uk/2011/11...ersary_of_leo/

Quote:
Forget BlackBerry and Bill Gates: the first business computer in the world was British and was used to help sort the logistics for bakery distribution.

Tea merchants, bakers and Wimpy burger founder J Lyons and Co instituted the enormous programmable computer – LEO – in its Hammersmith office to help with deliveries of perishables including cakes way back in 1951. Today is LEO's 60th anniversary.
This of course conflicts with the Z4 of Konrad Zuse. From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Z4_(computer)

Quote:
The Z4 computer was the world's first commercial digital computer, designed by German engineer Konrad Zuse and built by his company Zuse Apparatebau between 1942 and 1945.[1]
