modem network.
What modem software is there?
Look at pppd(8), ppp(8), & Section 6.5 of the FAQ. In fact, Section 6 covers most major networking topics with OpenBSD.

/dev/lpt0? Last edited by ros2468; 4th March 2010 at 11:47 AM. |

How is your modem attached? Internal, serial, USB? With your modem attached, provide the entire output of dmesg(8) so we can see.
The connection is built in.

Since you didn't do as asked, and supply a dmesg, I'm going to have to use my crystal ball and make the following assumption: Your modem is a Winmodem, and is therefore not supported. I'm also going to assume your platform uses the i386 architecture. If either of those is wrong, it is because you did not supply requested information.

You omitted the top of the file, most importantly.. the version of OpenBSD.
Code:
vendor "Toshiba", unknown product 0x0d01 (class wireless subclass IrDA, rev 0x00) at pci0 dev 9 function 0 not configured Otherwise it could be an integrated AC97' softmodem, which are also unsupported. |

We don't know enough about his system, as he doesn't appear very forthcoming, but it could be a one of those "sound card" modems. They seem to be popular these days, essentially they're the same as a PCI Winmodem.. all the functionality is moved into the Windows driver, it's very messy stuff. |

Sorry for my l8 response.
The modem is unsupported. kernel is 4.4. What about alternate drivers? |
