Thanks corey_james,

I have already browsed this page you mentioned, but the problem is that I searched the manpage of bktr and it does not mentioning anything about USB.

Keep in mind that I am using laptop..

extract of the BKTR(4)
"The bktr driver provides support for PCI video capture and VBI capture on
low cost, high performance boards"

Yes, that is right. The only video devices that work with BSD (that I know about) are bktr devices and some usb webcams.

The main lack is v4l support, which is what linux uses to support the wide range of video devices. there are some efforts to produce videoBSD, but I believe they have stalled.

So, sorry, there are no USB video capture devices available for FreeBSD. I do not know about the other BSDs, but suggest that you are stuck with linux.

OpenBSD -CURRENT recently added a v4l layer and a uvideo(4) driver for UVC devices, It seems to intended for compliant USB Cameras though.

USB TV tuners are pretty much vendor-specific, no known standard is shared between them.. kinda out of luck it seems.
