Default Current Missing some amd64 Packages

I tried to install a gnome desktop on current amd64 and found that several packages are missing: gnome-utils, totem and evince. They are present in current i386. I saw an announcement that there is a package freeze about a week ago and have not seen any updates to the amd64 branch since Jan 20th.

My questions: Is this typical during a package freeze and should I have just waited until after the freeze to install? Are the missing packages likely to show up if I hold tight for a few days?

Maybe; maybe not. This is how the -current world works. Many packages will be available at any one time (but rarely all...), & not all packages get built in each iteration.

There will also be times when the available packages are not synchronized with the head of CVS for /usr/src which will be found out when stale packages are installed. These are the times when building packages manually are warranted & necessitated.

The previous package build had 61 gnome related packages

In the Jan 20 build there are only 52:

Code:
[~/SNAP/AMD64/NOW]$ grep gnome latest_pkg | wc -l
      52
I have no idea why, but I am afraid, unless you inquire for them they won't show up

There has been a problem while building mono, latest snapshots are ok.
