Have no sound freeBSD 7.0
Can anyone help with sound driver installation? I am a newbee. When configure alsa-driver from source the error was that can't find kernel-source in /usr/src/ and version.h file too. I did install with sysinstall : distributions>src>sys & base ... where is my kernel-source and version.h I don't know .. Command "whereis version.h" can not find such a file. My goal is to start alsaconf command to install my sound driver but a lot of software like above demand kernel sources and modules so I need to know how to find them. I tried uname -r but it didn't give me kernel version. Give me please a good link to read more about freeBSD (if there has such a topic off course)
Is it worth to learn freeBSD? I read a lot of positive opinions about it |

Try the script in post #2, or you can do it manually as described post #1.
