Question freebsd install on zfs

I am following this guide http://www.ish.com.au/solutions/articles/freebsdzfs , but on the first part of this line :
Quote:
Disklabel with options

A: 1024Mb UFS2 /
B: swap
D: rest of disk

To create D you’ll need to enter any mount point you want and then use the M option to clear it. This ensures that it will not mount or be created as a file system.
i am confused with create D, how to do it? i don't understand the meaning of "you’ll need to enter any mount point you want and then use the M option to clear it" , do i need create /tmp /var /usr ,
my system is going to be freebsd 8.1 amd64 with 3 disk,
1 x WDC Green 320 GB
2x WDC Green 500 GB

what would be good suggestion for setup zfs+ raid 1 on my system?

thanks for reading
