Default Audio & Headphones

Hello,

On my T61 Laptop, I have the sound working, but I can't get the headphones to work. When I plug my headphones into the phones jack, the speakers cut off like they should - but, nothing comes through the headphones. Strange enough, though, I can hear the console beep through the headphones (which I can't through the speakers), but nothing else.

The man pages and online guides say to look for headphones in the mixerctl, but I can't find it there. I thought maybe it was omic, but when I tweaked that (i.e., switch outputs.omic.dir=input to output), I didn't get any results.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Here is my mixerctl -a:

Code:

On every topic you make, PLEASE state the operating system and version.. it's not fair that you make us guess.

Presumably it's either NetBSD or OpenBSD, So post the output of mixerctl -av in a [code][/code] block.

Sorry. I'm running NetBSD 4.0.1 with -current kernel version 5.99.01 GENERAL

I doubt even NetBSD developers recommend mixing environments like that.

If you use a newer kernel, recompile your user land utilities.
