Default Health problems and depression, and then more ---

I made a post/request here: http://daemonforums.org/showpost.php...98&postcount=1 But did not want to de-rail my own post with all of this, any way, seems like when we think things can not get worse, they do.... Now I need to fix this on my PC, and it is a really bad time.
Tomorrow I go to the hospital , for tests, probably will be needing a operation, if that is a option, the Doctor says it is very serious, but any way, I don't want any one feeling sorry for me, or something like that, it is just the way life comes and goes, or is,...However I do feel it is important to be sure the PC is going to be working well, and bootable, I do have back ups, etc, but no one else in my family or friends would know how to deal with it, if for example there is a power failure, and then the PC does not boot correctly... so I need to fix that.
Just writing this , seems like a ton of work, besides being depressing. I have been taking high doses of pain medicines for close to a year now, but guess that is not really relevant, at least I am not in much pain, however at times it does make it difficult to think clearly,..
Any way, the doc says we need to do something, and so be it. I agree, am am really tired , etc,... Seems pathetic, that I need to ask for help doing something that I should be able to do on my own.
Like wise, I do, thank fully , have my younger son here helping me, he takes care of the birds, and helps me with a lot of things, all things that I used to be able to do my self,so any way, that is why I needed to post , and ask for some help with what should be a rather simple task. I will be "guiding" him, and hopefully he can follow the instructions ok, So any way, that is why I need to ask for some step by step instructions on resizing the partition, Thanks

Me too, and that is what the doctor says that it will .
In a nut shell, and on the bright side, it is not a complicated operation, and should be successful. The problem is not enough circulation in the arteries, it has affected my legs and feet mostly,..
Just recently I decided to go to a second doctor, and it is a good thing I did, the first doctor was doing a lot of things wrong, apparently, including telling me there was not anything I could do to correct the situation. Apparently there is things that can be done.

My dad was subjected to a similar procedure and he was also through a lot of pain, but fortunately the surgery went fine and today he is walking normally again.

I wish you the same successful surgery and a speedy recovery my friend.
It's tough to keep ourselves positive while on pain, but you're doing well and everything will work just fine, you will see it!

We are already waiting to hear the good news, all the best!

Gary, hang in there. It gets better. I had surgery and went from someone who was very active to being someone who couldn't walk without a walker. Then, (I live in a 7th floor apartment) 2 days after I got home the elevators were taken out of service for month for repair. I had to laugh.
(3 years later I walk pretty normally--I can't kick above my head anymore or drop into a front or back roll and keep walking, but if you'd never seen me do those things before you wouldn't know anything had happened.)
Point being, it sometimes takes time and seems like it'll be forever, but it isn't--little by little you see the improvements. And I would guess pets from the parrot family will help occupy you too. Even though I haven't met you, your good humor and willingness to share, both errors and help, makes a difference, and we're all waiting for you to post again. : )

All the best from me, hope to read posts here soon that everything was all right.

If there is still the question regarding step by step instructions for resizing partitions, I read such a blogpost with growfs some time ago. If it's still relevant, I'll search for it.

Life is an adction, I cant resist the next moment, for good or bad it comes
for me.
Who will win the election, only those who live will know. This experince is to vived to let go.

The pain, the joy, the wisdom, hate, sorrow, love
Even worse, or might a little better tomrow.

In the the end we all go to /dev/null
Did my life mean anything?
We all and you have plenty of pain and reason to be depresed.

My experince have tought me,
a) It is best not to face the darknes of infinete space and time alone, in the blink of a moment we cal life.
b) Have true hope or a lie you atleast somewhat can belive in.
c) Dont let depresion alone guide your life,

I sometimes wonder if there is a deeper mening to it. i am not 100% ceartin we all go to /dev/null and there is a smal hope for me.

Thank you for sharing with us!
I hope you have your family close!

Knowing his real name, as he used it on other sites such as the Debian forums, a search of the web sadly confirms that Garry passed away the day after the date of the operation and last post here, on 09/09/2020 last year aged 66.

May he rest in peace.
