Default making many partitions

I'm not an expert FreeBSD user. I should be, I focus on my stuff, not on the systems that make my work possible. So here's my problem.

I use GBDE and need to make *many* partitions. I use the sysinstall's fdisk, not any special tool and I want to make, probably, 10-15 partitions.

And when I try, I get things like /dev/X and /dev/Y, etc...

So what do I do.

I'm confused about the thing(s) you are getting. Can you elaborate on that ?
