Default Asus P5Q support

Hi there,
Where are we concerning the Asus P5Q serie GB lan support ?
For who dont know these MB have an atheros integrated lan chipset that is not natively supported by FreeBSD.
The workaround consist in installing an addon network card ofc.
But since Asus provides linux drivers it should be possible to make BSD drivers, no ?
Does someone managed to get the Onboard lan working ?

I have an Asus P5QL-E with an Atheros chip. Since FreeBSD 7.1-RC1 exists the driver ale which supports my Atheros chip.
See this site: http://people.freebsd.org/~yongari/ale/

Great news, thanks.
Not sure if P5QL-E and P5Q have the same network chipset but that worth the time to test it anyway. In windows it seems to be the same driver so I have good hope

Bleh, the driver dont support 7.0 p6.
I think I will wait for 7.1 officially out. I can live with the add-on network card in the mean time.

I have a P5Q board. The atheros/attansic L1E LAN controllers are used in most of the P5Q series I think, except the newer SE series.

Good news. With 7.1-release the network driver exists and works ok. ale driver. It's not activated by default so you have to do some loader.conf declaration.
