Just filling in /usr/bin/mailx with "Open in terminal" checked works without problems ...
In operaprefs.ini Code:
[Trusted Protocols] mailto="0,1,"/usr/bin/mailx %s" [Mail] Webmail Service=0 External Application="/usr/bin/mailx %s" Handler=2 Run Email In Terminal=1 (Asked Admin to move these posts to a new thread btw.)

Just as a follow up. I tried to configure Opera to use Heirloom mailx on OpenBSD 4.8 where Opera 10.00 runs under Linux emulation.
There are two problems: 1. %s or %u is not converted into email address. 2. xterm hangs after e-mail is sent and must be killed with Code:
pgrep xterm|xargs kill -9 |

Yes, xterm hangs, I just use the close button in my WM. I also have the same with viweing the source in xterm/Vim
I'll look at the %s when I get home.
