Opera drops support for Solaris
I know we have a few Solaris users here, just wanted to point out that Opera will no longer be available (..at least, newer versions).

'Great' ...
Really dark clouds seems to gather over OpenSolaris/Solaris recently. At least VirtualBox seems to have good news: Oracle Builds Upon VirtualBox With 3.2 Beta

Maybe they will reintroduce Opera on OpenSolaris 2010.x when it will arrive and they just wanted to drop support for oldschool x11 on Solaris.

@Oko
I would not say OpenSolaris is dead, they are finishing latest release base upon 134a build, propably under 2010.05 name currently (was meant to be 2010.02)

With the way Oracle has sounded towards FOSS, I think I agree with Oko. Not that would surprise anyone :-o.

At least older versions for solaris will still be avaliable for some time.
Unlike Internet Explorer for Solaris which was avaliable for about a week and then *completely* vanished. Microsoft probably denys that it even existed LOL |
