Harddisk problem.
Hi everyone.
I have a Asus barebone motherboard with a Western Digital 500 GB SATA harddisk which serves as the only hdd on my system. I installed FreeBSD, everything seems ok. But ever since I rebooted (I disable acpi permanetly; I have even tried this with acpi enabled), I am getting the following error on my screen ad8: 976773168 sectors 16 sectors/ interrupt 1 depth queue ad8: intel check1 failed ad8: adaptec check1 failed ad8: LSI (v3) check1 failed ad8: LSI (v2) check1 failed ad8: FreeBSD check1 failed GEOM: new disk ad8 GEOM_Label: label for provide ad8s1 is ntfs/new volume. Then the system just hangs. I have rebooted into single user mode, ran fsck -f and nothing seems particularly wrong. What could be the reason for my system to crash during boot time? Any help will be appreciated. |

I had a whole new partition that that is not occupied, and I installed onto FreeBSD on a whole new UFS.

There is a Bugathon at the weekend, so you could tell them the problem.
