Default Recommend an app for creating galleries

Let's say I have a web server with a directory full of images, hundreds of images, that change all the time. I'd like to have some kind of a server side script or applet that automatically generates nice formatted HTML galleries with thumbnails and everything for whatever's in a certain directory, preferably something written in Java or Python. Post your favorite.

I can't recommend anything pre-built by it quite easy to do yourself using Python.

I do it on my personal site.

I've never got around to speeding it up as it works fine for my usage.

Actually every page except Home and Resume is dynamically rendered by Python scripts that reads simple text/html files from a directory.

Thanks.

I can't recally the name of that "fruit" now. I found a bunch of them one day when walking my dog. It's not edible, if I remember correctly. But it does repel insects when split open. I can recall how I was able to actually search and find the info on it.

Well, funny, my wife bought today a new juice : a guanabana juice.
And the fruit on the bottle looks like yours.
I think it's not the same, but it was a surprising situation to see this on the bottle.
