PuTTY uses the standard SSH protocol, same as any SSH client. It even uses the OpenSSH code underneath, I believe.
It's just the text format for the SSH keys that is different. But the PuTTY suite includes a key import/export/convert/create tool, puttygen, so it's not really a bit deal. Just something you have to remember to do. |
