Inexperienced? Of course no! I already used NetBSD in x86 and I am user of Linux in this same architecture.
My problem is that after me to install NetBSD in my Ibook, he doesn't begin and yes, I already read the documentation and it didn't help me a lot. I thought that in this forum, somebody that went by similar problems could help myself. PS: Previously I had installed and initiate OpenBSD with success. |

The mentioned procedure, for the installation of NetBSD in MacPPC, it is addressed for those that also possess MacOS and I have not been installing him. I don't know how to do the procedures there without having MacOS. Though, I would never know that I would have that complication type in PowerPC. For me the installation should be as in x86.
I don't also have as installing MacOS, because I don't have the installation CD. If somebody has the solution for this, I will be very thankful. |

On the boot loader, I read something on having a partition HFS, but as I don't have MacOS, I am not able to create her and nor to format appropriately.
Seems that I should have that partition, but that intrigues me, because I wanted to use the whole disk in the installation and the boot loader should be in MBR. Really, I don't understand this complexity in relation to installation of NetBSD in PowerPC. Already in x86 systems, the process is too simple. I posted my doubt in the mailing-list of NetBSD/macppc. I can only wait now for the answer, since I don't know more the that to do. |
