That's a nice and very in depth post, subscribed immediately after reading. I hope you write more.

Ah, I read the "Where do argc and argv come from?" a while ago via Lobsters; I thought the name looked familiar! :-)
UNIX was not designed to stop you from doing stupid things, because that would also stop you from doing clever things.
