Default IPFW question

Hi
Am i right in thinking that i don't need to do a custom kernel compile to enable
IPFIREWALL_VERBOSE ?
Sorry to post such a simple question. I couldn't determine form the handbook whether this option is enabled in the GENERIC kernel
As far as i understand it you have to put:
net.inet.ip.fw.verbose=1
net.inet.ip.fw.verbose_limit=5
in /etc/sysctl.conf
Is that correct?
Thank you very much for any replies
