Default Newbie - Building OpenBSD WAP, need assistance

Hello,

I am wanting to build an Wireless Access Point based on OpenBSD.

I have searched several times for a suitable, current guide. I have been unable to find one.

If anyone knows of one, I would be grateful.

If anyone could tell me how to set my wireless device to Master or AP mode, that would be very helpful.

Thank you for any help you can provide.

Sincerely,
Bob

If you already have a wireless card installed, you will find out what device driver the card is using by looking at the output of dmesg(8). Not all supported wireless devices can serve as access points. You have find what cards/devices are supported by:

Configuration information is specific to what device is installed, & the details can be found in the respective manpage.

Make sure to get a wireless card that uses the athn driver. Support was committed in -current that gives it power-saving capabilities which is needed for it to properly work with many android, iOS, and Mac OSX devices.
