Default unable to log in

I have Desktopbsd on one computer, and liked it so much that I decided to try FreeBSD 7.0 on my second computer.
Installation of FreeBSD went without any problems it boots up fine until I get to the login screen, where it does not accept either username or password.
I am and have always been the only user of computers in the house so I keep the usernames and passwords very simple, both computers have the same login details.
So I dont know why this is happening, this is the first time, and I am at a loss as what to do.
